ANNUAL REPORT (01 August 2023 – 30 June 2024)

1. Introduction
Academic Year 2023–24 was significant for SibaniMandalMahavidyalaya due to academic restructuring, student-development initiatives, infrastructural strengthening, administrative reforms and collaborative social outreach.
2. Administrative Leadership Update
A major institutional milestone occurred on 01 August 2023, when a new Principal Dr. Atish Dipankar Jana formally assumed charge and administrative restructuring began.
3. Academic & Administrative Reform Initiatives
The college undertook several academic improvement and policy-oriented activities:
- Orientation on new NEP–CCF syllabus was organised on 30 January 2024 for students.
- A laboratory and quality assurance orientation session involving IQAC and external NAAC mentors was organised in early 2025.
- First Semester students received structured NEP–orientation programme on 13 May 2025.
- University inspection was conducted to recommend increase of MDC course intake from 479 to 550 seats.
These reforms indicate institutional movement toward NEP-based academic modernization and capacity expansion.
4. Academic Programmes& Events Conducted
(a) Seminars & Awareness Programmes
- A programme on Indian Constitution was conducted on 15 August 2023 as part of Independence Day events.
- NSS Orientation was organised on 26 September 2023 for new volunteers.
- A voter awareness programme titled “Mere Pehele Vote” for first-time voters took place in March 2025.
(b) Classroom & Examination Activities
- Calcutta University examinations were successfully conducted during May 2024.
- Online academic support classes were provided to students during summer recess (April–June 2024).
(c) Internship Programme
- A summer internship programme for Second Semester students was organised from 15 May to 30 June 2024.
5. NSS, Social & Extension Activities
The college executed several community-based engagements, including:
- Beach Cleaning Environmental Awareness Programme in September 2023.
- NSS orientation and community service sensitisation activities.
These initiatives strengthened institutional social responsibility and student civic awareness.
6. Cultural, Sports & Co-Curricular Events
- Students participated in Inter-College Cultural Competition held at SundarbanMahavidyalaya in October 2023.
- Annual Sports event was organised on 21–22 December 2023.
- A College Cultural Competition took place on 22 January 2024, enabling student participation in literature, performing arts and cultural expression.
7. Infrastructure Development
A major infrastructure expansion activity was undertaken in December 2023 with the foundation laying of the college boundary wall, enhancing campus security and institutional identity. The boundary wall of the college was completed in March 2024.
8. Institutional Calendar & Holiday Declaration
- Durga Puja Holidays were observed between October and November 2023 as per the approved academic calendar.

1. Introduction
The Academic Year 2024–2025 at SibaniMandalMahavidyalaya witnessed significant administrative progress, NEP–based academic restructuring, digital learning upgradation, student–centric activities, infrastructural strengthening, legal documentation progress, and continuous community engagement.
This Annual Report documents verified college activities conducted across the academic year for institutional audit and higher education reporting.
2. Institutional Governance & Legal Progress
Land Mutation Progress
A Government Land Mutation Hearing was conducted on 15 July 2024 for implementation of college land registration and record correction.
Society Registration Achieved
On 18 December 2024, the college received Society Registration certification, marking an important milestone in the institution’s legal identity and administrative independence.
3. Academic & NEP Integration Activities
- 07 August 2024 – Orientation programme on NEP 2020 and CCF syllabus for newly admitted first semester students.
- 24 September 2024 – Orientation conducted for students to activate ABC Accounts under Digital Higher Education structure.
- 02 June 2025 – Institutional Workshop introducing Google Classroom system and LMS teaching process.
These academic initiatives strengthened NEP-based curriculum delivery and digital education capacity.
4. Skill Development & Training
- English Language Enhancement Course (Basic level) conducted from 09 August 2024 to 22 November 2024 to improve communication capacity and career skills of students.

- University Theory & Practical Examination on 13–14 May 2025
Online Academic Delivery:
- Online academic support teaching organisedbetween 15 May – 30 June 2024.
Internship Programme:
- Structured Internship Programme for Second Semester students from 15 May – 30 June 2024.

- 14 May 2025 – Career Development Programme conducted by RICE coaching group.
These events improved intellectual skill, communication ability and career awareness.
