




About the Department of History
The History Department started its journey in 2015 with a handful of students and a dream of becoming a distinguished centre of excellence. The department offers both B.A. Honours and General Degree programs affiliated with the University of Calcutta.
It continuously encourages students to pursue higher education, enabling them to establish a reputable place in society. In addition to regular classes, the department also arranges tutorial sessions aimed at assisting students who may need extra guidance, as well as problem-solving classes for advanced learners.
To uphold its academic excellence, the department regularly conducts class tests. Most importantly, the department fosters a warm and supportive relationship with its students, ensuring a positive and inspiring academic environment.
